Product overview

LEGO® Classic Lots of Bricks (11030) is a large, open-ended collection of 1,000 pieces in 10 bright colours. Much of the set is made up of the original 2x4 LEGO brick, giving children a generous supply of the most versatile building element for any idea they have.

Printed instructions show how to build 10 example models: a car, a globe, a flower, a heart, a guitar, a house, a smiley emoji, a parrot, a dog and an apple. A digital version of the instructions is also available in the LEGO® Builder app, and the bricks can be combined freely with other LEGO sets.

With so many bricks in one box, the set works well for shared classroom use, letting several children build at the same time. It supports creative expression, colour and pattern activities, early design thinking and story-based building tasks.

    SPIKE™ Prime Set

The LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime Set is a hands-on STEAM kit designed for lower-secondary classrooms. Its 528 pieces combine colourful LEGO® bricks with a programmable hub, motors and sensors, so students can design and build working models and robots and then control them with code. Programming is done in the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ App, which starts with Scratch-based drag-and-drop blocks and lets students move on to text-based Python when they are ready. Activities range from easy entry projects to open-ended design challenges that build problem-solving, critical thinking and teamwork, whatever a student's starting level. The set is supported by more than 50 hours of curriculum-aligned learning inside the app, together with classroom activities, getting-started materials and teacher resources. It suits regular lessons, coding clubs and FIRST® LEGO® League teams, and can be extended with the SPIKE™ Prime Expansion Set.

Among the additions are two large wheels, gear racks, an extra Large Motor and an extra Colour Sensor, plus a Maker Plate that makes it quick and simple to mount single board computing (SBC) devices of your choice onto LEGO® models. Combined with the SPIKE™ Prime Set and the free SPIKE™ App, the expansion unlocks more than 10 hours of curriculum-based learning focused on robotics competitions. Online lesson plans and teacher support materials help educators prepare teams and run the activities in class.
