Product overview

The MatataStudio MX2-A is a compact, lightweight handheld digital microscope designed for exploring outdoors as well as in the classroom. A built-in 2600mAh battery gives more than three hours of use per charge, so students can study plants, minerals and insects wherever they find them.

Its 4.3-inch LCD shows 1080P images with 100X to 1600X digital magnification, and a continuous optical zoom between 0.5X and 4X lets learners move smoothly from an overview to fine detail. The live image can also be sent by USB-C or Wi-Fi to phones, tablets and computers through the MatataXplore app on Android, iOS and Windows, and the microscope takes photos, records video and supports measurement.

The MX2-A is the handheld base model; the MX2-AS adds a stand, a foldable touchscreen, transmitted lighting for slides and prepared slides. The MX2-A box contains the microscope, two observation chambers, an exploration manual, a USB cable, a built-in 8GB micro SD card, a user guide and a calibration ruler.

    Microscope B-65 Monocular Brightfield

The OPTIKA B-65 is an educational biological microscope for brightfield observation. It has a monocular head inclined at 45° that rotates 360°, a WF10x/18 mm eyepiece secured by a screw, and four achromatic objectives (4x, 10x, 40x and 100x oil) with anti-fungus treatment, giving magnifications from 40x to 1000x. The StagErase™ mechanical stage measures 125 x 125 mm with a 62 x 24 mm X-Y range and a vernier scale, and scratches on its surface can be erased. Focusing is coaxial coarse and fine with a limit stop to prevent contact with slides, and an Abbe N.A. 1.25 condenser with iris diaphragm is pre-centered and focusable. Illumination is a 1 W LED with brightness control, powered by rechargeable batteries or a multi-plug external power supply, so it can be used without a fixed power outlet in school labs.

    MX2-AS Digital Microscope 100x–1600x (Wi-Fi, 4" touchscreen)

The MatataStudio Digital Microscope MX2-AS pairs optical magnification with a digital camera so students can study the microscopic world on a screen instead of through an eyepiece. Its 4.3-inch capacitive display folds up to 135 degrees, and the microscope can be lifted out of its stand for handheld use indoors or outdoors. Learners can zoom continuously (about 9X to 72X on screen), switch between incident and transmitted lighting for solid objects or slides, and apply an on-screen color tint to bring out detail. Images and video are saved to 8GB of built-in storage, and Wi-Fi or a USB-C cable sends the live view to phones, tablets or computers, so a whole class can watch the same sample. The 2MP camera supports recording and measurement. The kit includes the microscope, MX stand, five prepared slides, two observation chambers, a USB-C cable, an exploration manual, two user guides and a storage bag, making it suitable for biology, geology and general science lessons.

    MT3-4 Digital Microscope

The MatataStudio MT3-4 is a biological digital microscope that prepares students for middle school biology by helping them study the structure and function of cells. It combines a traditional optical layout with a 7-inch foldable LCD and a 5MP CMOS camera, so groups can view specimens together on screen. Three objectives (4x, 10x and 40x) give 40X to 400X optical magnification, shown as 54x, 135x and 540x on screen, with up to 1200x screen magnification. Incident and transmitted light sources can be adjusted for solid objects and slides. Students take JPG photos and MOV videos, make simple line measurements and switch between 10 interface languages, and images are saved to an 8GB SD card or shared by HDMI, USB or Wi-Fi to TVs, computers, tablets and phones. A rechargeable 2000mAh 18650 battery allows use away from a socket. The package includes the microscope, 10 prepared slides, a USB-C cable, an HDTV cable, the battery, an 8GB SD card and a user manual. The MT3-4 sits between the 2MP MT3-2 and the 8MP MT3-5 in the MT3 range.
