Computer Science & AI Kit, Grades 3–5

The LEGO® Education Computer Science & AI Kit for grades 3–5 is a classroom-ready, standards-aligned kit that lets a group of four students learn computing concepts by building and coding physical LEGO® models. Each kit holds 321 LEGO® bricks, building instructions, a double motor, a colour sensor, a connection card and a USB charging cable in a sturdy stackable box. Students code in Coding Canvas, a lightweight web app (also available on iOS) with icon- and word-based blocks. Lessons are opened with a PIN, so no student logins are needed, and projects are saved locally. AI-based computer vision features introduce how computers learn from data in a safe, age-appropriate way. The free Teacher Portal provides 30 lessons across six units — Basics, Events, Loops, Conditionals, Variables, and AI & Data — each with four lessons and a design challenge. Ready-made presentations, facilitation notes and built-in formative assessment help each lesson fit into a single class period.
